Brake Pedal Stop on Farmall H....Original or Add-on?

I have come across a few Farmall H's with a plate steel bracket mounted on the right tranny cover. It looks like it keeps the brake pedal from going too far forward so the brake lock drops through the hole. I have 6 of these brackets now. Were these standard on a certain year or years or were they add-on from another manufacturer?
