We don't have hornets here but have yellow jackets and wasps that love to build under almost any hood of a vehicle, in plows, under trailer tounges etc etc. I find that rather than buying those sprays, I put coal oil in my sprayer and it kills them FAST. One shot on their backs and they stick to the nest or hit the ground to stay. I kill every nest I see. Oh I guess coal oil and Kero is the same thing...just my hick dialect picked up from the old timers.
