Charlie the oil comes from the front of the housing, the gear drive for the governor has a hole above the gear and one below, the top hole is the "oil in" and the bottom hole is the "oil out" According to my book there is a slot on the camshaft which allows the oil to be intermittently forced into the governor housing..hope this explains it ..Mike in Exeter Ontario
