M w/ Puff of blue smoke

I have a "M" with a fresh engine (new slugs / sleeves), along with a machine-shop reworked head. It has about 5-7 hrs. on the motor and wants to puff one hit of oil smoke at startup, then runs fine. Compression is even across all four cylinders at 130 psi. Could the engine need more wear-in time or do you think oil is getting down through the guides?
