My H is working great! I have mowed a few miles of road ditches and some waterways with it in the last couple of weeks. Has around 25 hours on the rebuild and everything looks good, not even an oil leak! Of course, being used to a Farmall 544, I miss the power steering and live hydralics. I don't need live PTO, I'd rather not listen to the mower rattle while I'm raising or lowering it. Questions: I have a Char-Lynn unit from a 450 complete with pump, I can handle mounting the torque motor in the steering shaft, and it will fit if I build new mounting plates for it. Can I use the power steering pump to run live hydralics too? Would an automotive PS pump be better for doing that? OR should I get a belt driven hydralic pump designed for hydralics and plumb the power steering into that? I use Hy-Tran for hydralic fluid anyway so that should be ok in the torque motor. Mainly looking for opinions or experience on whether or not I can do both with a single pump. I can run the pump from the crankshaft with a belt and it will work fine for the small implements I use. Thanks in advance! Steven
