It does not hurt to have your flywheel re-surfaced by a machine shop. The M flywheel has a step in it so both surfaces will need equal (but minimal) material removal. The clutch disk runs on the inner surface and the pressure plate bolts to the outer surface. Pardon me if this was already mentioned in the previous replys but I just skimmed over them.
