I had the same problem with an old ground driven potato digger. Couldn't seem to find these traction devices. I used a bolt large enough to fill hole, put it in with nut on inner side. On the face of wheel I put a 3/4 nut under head of bolt. I tried fabricating other devices, but nut looked neater and did job. Another nut one might look at using is a nut from the U bolts on truck springs, just a bit deeper.
