When running correctly they are pretty fuel efficient tractors. I have raked a lot of hay with my C, and though I dont use it heavily today, I recall growing up dad used to put in 5 gallons out of an old metal 5 gallon oil can and it would usually finish up most any job we had. We mowed, raked and baled with the C. It seemed you could fill the tank and work it all day. You are right about these being excellent for raking and not too many years ago it seemed every other farmer around here had a C or Super C to rake with. Easy to handle and turn on a dime (just watch and not get a tire into the rake). I still have the rake, and if opportunity arises am going to rake a few acres for fun one of these days for the guy who round bales for me.
