Yes, the 460-560 had some serious problems early on, but were updated, by IH, and served very well. I have a FORD 6000 COMMANDER Diesel. It is a great tractor, if you want to get whip lash, and easily handles any good five bottom plow; as long as it is in the transport position. Our old IH MD will out work it; and has for over twenty years. Jerk-o-matic transmissions and panic pedals are not my thing. If a guy loves that sort of stuff, I doubt that reason or logic will have much impact.
