Looking at 706's

I am currently looking at 3 706's. The main question I have to ask is which is overall better, the gas or diesel? I know the 706 had 3 different gas engines in its production course, but for these purposes, lets say it is the 281. They are all in superb shape. Paint is faded on one, but okay. Doesn't matter. But, besides gas or diesel, I have another question. One of the 706 diesels is turbocharged. Does this make it any better? I would like to narrow it down to the best of the 3 tractors. Thank you.
