I was born in 42 and remember going to IH dealer in early 50s, they had a showroom of IH appliances. Big items seemed to be fridges and freezers. I remember they also had milk coolers for on farm cooling of 80 lb. cans of milk. My dad bought one a 6 can unit. It had a side door with 3 sets of rails 2 cans deep. It had a sump of water in bottom and sprayed water on cans at handles. Great cooling unit, we used it for all warm milk. Just before each milking milk from IH was transfered to larger Woods unit for storage. Sun. and Wed. we had no pickup, so twice a week we had to store 2 days milk.
