Mike , I may be wrong on this but it is my understanding that Hy-tran is a 10w oil and that most other universal fluids are 15w or 20w . In very cold weather the old IH tractors starve the hyd pump until the oil gets warmed up which can take quite a while some times. On 86 series, IH suppercharged the steer/TA pump to help this problem.Most universal fluids will sub for hy-tran but check the container to make sure and I would run them accept for cold weater operation.
