I tow my H with a 92 Dodge W250 4X4 with the cummins diesel and the overdrive automatic transmission. I have the 3.50 gears in the rear end and the biggest transmission cooler I've ever seen. My trailer is one I built myself it is 14 feet long and the 2 axles are 102" wide mobile home axles (rated at 5600# per axle). I use LT rated tires, not mobile home rated tires, with a 10-12 ply rating. I have brakes on both axles. This combination pulls extremely well, even in the desert heat here in Arizona. I do have to watch the engine temperature when pulling long grades. I pull in overdrive on everything but the worst grades (more than about a 5% grade) with out having to drop out of overdrive. Good trailer brakes are an absolute necessity on any trailer that hauls this kind of weight.
