My A rear end is noisy and I can feel the drive shaft or gears inside when i am driving it. I have been listening to it long enough to think that it's noiser than a normal noise for a Farmall A rear end. How hard is it to split the tractor? Do I need special supports to split it and change drive shaft bearings? And, can I do this myself if I get a hand from someone who is willing to help? Is it a job for an experienced tractor mechanic or can I do it if I am careful? I need to replace the rear end bearings...so I am thinking/// But I can't tell for sure/ Advice and help is needed to help me narrow down the problem before I split it. thank you
