Discovered that on 300 in 1955. I can see people not that much younger than I not realizeing this as belt work was dying fast in 50s and 60s. This was a great feature in starting belt driven equipment with heavy flywheels, also threshing machines. I can see where it would be great belting up to start another tractor.

As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor. My Papaw had a 1954 IH Super A that he bought to replace a Cub.
