We have 3 Farmall tractors and Dad has 5 of the old letter series. We have had to rebuild 1/2 of them over the years. (All 3 of mine, lucky me) Anyhow it isn't too bad a job and I replaced all the bearings and seals in the assembly plus the seal for the worm shaft. Takes maybe a half day to do one. I also turn the ring gear around 1/2 turn on the bolster shaft to get new teeth to mesh with the worm gear. Tightens things up a bit. My 504 only has 1600 hours on it but has had a loader on it all it's life, that wore that front seal out and the previous owner ran it dry, the bearings were rusted on that tractor. Seems like it costs about $100 to $150 to go through one, even a Super C. We have 3 of them. Good luck and hope you find a radiator.
