I've heard the stories of the cracked heads too but I've not seen any real evidence of this. Where are all these cracked heads? Junk yards? I'm not saying this is disinformation but maybe just a rumor with no substaniation. Kinda like an expert once told me mice and rats don't live in the same area, I know that's BS. Lots of farm stories that don't make sense when you look close.
If the heads were so easily cracked why didn't the IH engineers just beef them up. There must be more to this than meets the eye.
