The spring is VERY stout. Don't let it snap ya. IH calls for a special service tool to be used to compress the spring. We made one using 3/8" redi bolt and a piece of steel plate. Be sure to replace the output shaft seal and check over the clutch stack when its apart. If the teflon rings show signs of wear change them. Also look at the pto brake pistons, if ther'e worn replace them along with their o-rings.
