I had my Super A completely overhauled Spring-before-last. Anyway when my mechanic got it back together he was worried about it "gurgling" when he shut it off hot so he put a water pump on. (I think it has gurgled since new, just the water continuing to circulate due to the thermosyphon effect.) They will bolt right on in place of the lower radiator pipe. There have been some converted like this over the years, if you pulled them REAL hard conventional wisdom was it helped with cooling. No other modification was done, no thermostat or whatever. That being said, my Super A ran for over 50 years without the water pump. I'm restoring it back "like new" and the water pump will probably come off. Al
