I also have a 37 t-20 that my grandfather bought used in 1940. You're right, it should deffinitly be red. Gray paint is correct on IH tractors built in 36 and before, but this doesn't hold true for crawlers. T-20's, T-40's, and T-35's were painted Harvester Red from their begining in 1932 according to the IH records. The only IH crawlers that were ever painted the old gray were the 10-20 and 15-30 crawlers. Maybe Guy Fay can back me up on this.
