trouble w/hydalics on super c/HELP!!!

I just changed the pump seal and changed the fluid and now I can't get the pump primed. Can someone help me out please....Also, this has remote hydralics for a loader but I do not have that hooked up at the moment as it is being painted. The lines that go to the remote are, however hooked up to the manifold and capped off before they enter the remote. I have done what the manual says and still nothing.(move levers back and forth about a dozen times while engine is at an idle)Do the remote lines need to be hooked up the the remote control also? I am baffeled and need to resolve this. Thanks everyone...I haven't been let down on here yet.
