When you build it up, build it plenty and grind it off. Start with it fitting quite tight in shift rails and grind until it shifts smooth. Take the shift lever out of one of your other tractors to use as a guide. When I did my 300, I used lever from 560 as a guide. Some of your other tractors have probably been rebuilt before. I ran Farmall letter and number series from 50s when new. Most will go 15-20 years before needing this rebuild. A loader tractor will usually only go 10 years. That is a rough guide. Some people will be easier on shifter than others. If some old fellow who never let anyone else operate his tractor were to say,"My tractor is a 1952 and has never had this done". I wouldn't argue with him. MANY FACTORS HERE.
