hanko: Welcome to the wonderful world of old red tractors and the just as wonderful bunch of people who enjoy them! The serial number will tell you a lot, and the cast iron parts will have a casting code that will let you know the day/month/year they were cast. Look on the engine block, the transmission case, wheel castings, the clutch case. It'll look like a little plate with some screws -- although it is in fact part of the casting. Not all the parts were cast on the same day, but they should all be fairly close. While the month and day-of-month will be numbers, the year will be letter coded, starting with "A" in 1931. So P=1946, S=1949, and so forth, except V wasn't used and both U and W were used in 1951. Let us know it that helps. RedTed/MO.
