There is a seal between the littel pump on the back and the main pump and the oil is the same as what ya put in the engine and you fill it to where it comes out the petcock on the side . The seal that you need may be a littel hard to find as there are two differant primary pumps used the one is not hard to find but the other is as i did one of the hard to find ones and it took two weeks to find and that was two years ago.
