Get a good voltmeter and check the voltage at the battery terminals at normal operating speed.13-14v should be about what you'll see if the alternator is operating correctly.The voltage may be a little on the low side because there is little electrical load when the tractor is operating.You can also turn on the lights and see if the alternator will keep up with the load from the lights.The voltage should remain fairly constant with the increase in load.
