Don has allready given you good advice in changing your brakes. There is one small difference in SA and 140. SA has a band achored a one end and other end has pull rod that attaches to pedal made right into band. 140 has a rocker assembly you can partially see if look in where brake pull rod enters final drive. Pull rod hooks to this rocker assembly. Both ends of brake band hook to the rocker assembly. This is supposed to give you mechanical advantage over SA system. I have both systems in a SA and a 130 can't see much difference in braking capacity. Brake bands for 140 are substancially less mney than SA, unless the rocker assembly is broken.
