F12 won't restart

My '35 F12 has a problem in that after I run it a little while I have to crank and crank her until she will finally restart. I can open petcock on fuel bowl and get gas out of her but still won't start easy. Mag has been redone. I hate going to a show and have to try to restart her and just stand there cranking like a fool. Friend has a 22-36 and no matter what he can give her a quick jerk with the choke on and then take it off and the next pull she'll take right off, I am difinately jealous....Help.
