Looking at your carb. the top screw is the idle throttle stop screw, that sets the idle speed....The next screw down is the Idle mixture adjusting screw,slowly turn this screw in(clockwise),careful not to jam it into the seat ,you can damage it....turn the screw left(out) one full turn....Start the engine and let it warm up to operating temp.Cover the radiator if you have too....Set the hand throttle all the way closed...If the engine dies turn the top screw (the throttle stop screw) in until the engine runs at a fast idle...now back this screw back out until it is at the speed you want....If it runs rough or dies turn the Second screw(Idle mixture adjusting screw)in or out until it runs the fastest and the smoothest...Now the lower screw on the front of the carb. is the Main jet,this is the jet used to feed the engine when running faster than idle....Open the throtle full open....adjust this screw until the engine runs the fsstest and the smoothest....You may want to readjust, later.....You can also ,hold the brakes and put the engine under a load in 4th gear to see how it is going to run under a load....Good Luck...Don.....You need an OPERATOR'S MANUAL......
