I personally don't know a lot about 766, as I never owned one. The dealer in our area sold a lot of them and I have never heard a bad word about them. I had a 1066. 766 had the 360 cu inch American built diesel, one of the best diesels IH ever turned out. You never hear anything but good about that engine. It was used in tractors,trucks and heavy eq. Dealer gave me a used one to use a week or so when my 560D was down for repairs. I thought serious about trading old 560, however coins were tight at time so I refrained. Factory AC was an option.
