To add a couple of things to the below info:

The 184 and maybe 185 supposedly had more power. I know that my 184 has a bunch more power than my well worn but reliable 1952 Cub.

The other big difference I have found is that the 184 has a number of parts that are specifially for the 184. Available...Yes. Cheap...NO!! The 154 and 185 have more parts in common and presumably cheaper.

This is one area the regular Cubs and Cub Loboys have over the 154/185/184 series...parts are a ton easier to come by.
