TRANSMISSION NOISE

I recently purchased my very first FARMALL CUB
1963 Vintage. With the engine cranked and the transmission in the Neutral posistion the internal gears make a very LOUD Rattling noise.
If in any gear, and moving the transmission makes a GROWLING sound. Need help for the correct FIX!!! Thanks LARRY
