International, or Farmall 140, not much difference. I guess the industrial version was called International and the ag version Farmall, or earlier versions may have been Farmall and the later versions were international. The industrial or heavy duty version had a square shaped front axle with braces back to the tractor body instead of the round tube with no braces and also likely had a foot throttle control in addition to the hand throttle. Most likely yours is the Farmall version. The 140 tractor was made for a long time, from late fiftys until IH quit making them in 1979. Before that beginning in 1939 was the A, the Super A, the 100, the 130 and finally the 140. All these tractors are of similar design, with improvements made along the way. There were several improvements and changes made to the 140 during it's long production run, but the model number was never changed. The A did not have hydraulics, that started with the Super A. As to the fast hitch, I'm surprised to hear you say that the 140 has a two point fast hitch. I though all the fast hitches on these tractors were a one point system. They had the prongs you describe, but only one of them, not two. Usually the the two point fast hitch system was on the C, Super C, 200, 230, 240 and larger sizes.

"Run in the house and get me a...."as I open th
