More Super C RPM's

Guys, Just wondering if there is a simple way to tweak a few more R's out of the Super C. I just put it back together after a complete overhaul...1/8th overbore, rebuilt carb, rebuilt, governor, and just can't seem to pull the RPM's she used to have. I have the stop on top of the governor adjusted all the way out , and have adjusted the linkeages even a little beyond what the manual says. I'm not talking making it a haot rod here, just able to turn the same R's as the rest of the Div. 1 Super C's I pull against.
One more question; is there an affordable tach available that would work on 4, 6 AND 2 cyl. engines? Thanks Pete
