Les, there is an auto advance only advances 8 deg. There are 2 fly weights with a weird shape, 2 springs etc. Yes, we are talking about a diesel. Took the whole thing apart last night that was not the problem. I'm going back to checking the carb for the 3rd time. I'm starting to get a bit frustrated. It runs on gas but not as well as it should.
