I read yours and George Willer's posts below after my response. George has the same serial number info that I have. Remember that these numbers are approximations, and no one is absolutely sure what they are, but the tractors were supposedly painted in the 1st quarter of 1950. As to left over white paint -- scrape some of the rust off and see what is under it. Most white tractors were repainted red, but were not stripped to bare metal, so there is white under red. Look at parts underneath the sheet metal, perhaps they haven't rusted as much. You may find white paint on the underside of the hood, or in places that were hard to spray with red. Most dealers did very little disassembly, so if yours was white, there should be some somewhere -- I know this because I am repainting an originally white C -- red.
