I have seen more cracked heads than blown head gaskets. I only know of one way to be sure, that is to remove the head. I bought a 560 LP last week with a blown head gasket, turned out the exhaust valve seat broke and the piston shoved it trough the head, leaving a two inch hole. I'm not unhappy because I figured it had a cracked head anyway. Any time you buy any tractor, running or not, you have to be happy with what you have when you buy it. And to look forward to what you will have later.
