#1 Change oil & filter, the aicds in used oil is bad for the bearings. #2 Remove the sparg plugs and put a small amount of oil in each cylinder. Turn the engine over several times to pump the clean oil through the bearings and lube the rings and cylinder walls.. #3 replace the spark plugs. #4 Add "stable" to the gas tank and top it off.Turn off the gas valve under the tank and remove the drain plug on the carburator,to drain the gas line and carb...replace the plug..# 5 Remove the batteries to a place where they can't freeze (have a friend keep them up,or give them away or sell them)chances are they won't be much good after setting two years anyway..#6 change anti freese 50/50 mix (I use distilled water) this should be done first and run through the engine .. #7 air up the tires and block the tractor up to remove the weight off the tires.. #8 Breaks off and trans.in nutral..#9 cover the trastor ,with a car cover or old bed sheets..be sure the cover will let air and moisture, pass through (remove the muffler, makes it easier to cover...#10 make a list of what you have done, so when you come back you can re trace your steps..Atach a copy to the tractor..(before starting your tractor in two years, remove the spark plugs and turn the engine over several times to get oil throughout the system....you do this and your tracror will be fine.....good luck...Don
