I went shopping for some decently priced oil last spring. I found that the local oils distributor had 5 gallon pails of sae 30 Citgo detergent tractor oil for around $20. If you check the specs it meets everything but the mileage requirement (Thin oil) for new cars and trucks, even diesel. I even put it in my truck and its lots easier than lots of bottles to store. If you check the specs on things that work hard they all seem to like that 30 wt which has the best breakdown specs of any oil excluding the exotic stuff.
