Be sure to stack the wood on "stringers". Sticks or old well pipe work good. If you keep it off the ground and stack it fairly loosely and put it where its in the sun as much as possible good wood (Oak) etc will last several years. Covering it, in my experience, will hold in dampness and draw bugs and cause rot. Dave.
