The way i test them is to run the tractor in the high side of the T/A and in high third while loading the engine with the brakes and pulling the engine down them pull the T/A into the low side / PS. have your foot on the clutch pedal just incase it does not go into the low side because it may free wheel then grab and that ain't fun when that happens .
