It's a gas engine. It's over at the other farm ,I'll try to take the power washer over tomorrow clean it and look it over for some more #'s. I bought it for a 560 ,the old 282 gave it up. I was told it came from a 715 combine,I didn't pull it out,so all I have is his word.I wanted a 301 gas but whatever it is will do.The 560 is just a spare tractor that doesn't get alot of use but it's too good a tractor to junk and not worth enough to make it collectible. The old 282 D someone honed the bores too wide to hold a sleeve, even oversized ones.It got sort of weak and hard to start ,I tore it down and all the sleeves were cracked ,I bought one oversized sleeve and it fell all the way in the block. new engine time. thanks for all the information
