Been a year, exactly, since I did ours, but it seems that it slid out real easy like, but I imagine that yours is probably rusted in, like you said. first, I assume you have the engine clutch release bearing and yoke, etc, removed. If that is done, then first, spray it with a penetrant, such as WD-40 (I imagine you have already done this). My book says that there is a threaded hole in the end of the clutch shaft "to aid in removal". If I were to utilize this hole, I think I'd find a piece of stout iron long enough to span the entire opening of the clutch housing, torch an appropriate sized hole in the center of it, and use the right sized bolt to pull the clutch shaft out. If you are cranking down hard on the bolt, and it still won't come, then you could try banging on the bolt head some with a hammer (of course, you probably knew this already). And after that, if it is still stuck, I would heat the "rusted stuck" spot some. But I would only heat as a last resort, it looks to me like you might ruin some clutch springs and seals and whatnot.
