She sputtered to life at 3:45PM Indy time. Daughter Corey was there to watch HER. Just like the combine startup, SHE started hitting on 1, then 2. Of course it kept kicking the starter out. After the 6th. or 7th. try she came to life and was up on all 4 cylinders quickly. She only smoked for about 10 minutes and cleared out pretty darn good. Had A BUNCH of crud spit out of the manifold the first 10 minutes. I made Corey stand back. The timing is on the nose. The high speed mixture was pretty close. The idle mixture is still running too rich, but it does idle down to around 600 RPM without any problems. Got one small oil leak from the rear seal. Neither the oil pressue gauge nor the water temperatur gauge work. The radiator cap is hot after running her 30 minutes. Governor response is not good. I will have to work on that some more. Rebuilt 12 volt generator was charging at around 7 amps at full throttle. I'm ELATED! I drove it around to the back of the house. It doesn't steer too good with a flat tire! :) I started this project in earnest last Wednesday afternoon. Still have a lot of things to do but we got a good start!
