That price is probably fair in my area, western Washington. A leak in a hydraulic cylinder is no big deal unless the cylinder is one of those non-repairable ones. Even then, you can probably live with a slow leak and new cylinders are not that expensive, try Northern Equipment at www.northern-online.com. If you can disassemble the cylinder, replacing the O-rings is a simple job, just keep everything very clean and lubricate everything liberally with hydraulic fluid when you reassemble.
