If it's hopping out on the low side it's probably a worn IH standard gear. The M&W kit and the Heisler kit used an additional idler gear to shift into the high range. You'll probably have to pull the transmission cover to see where the problem is. Does it pop out gear in 1, 2, 3, and 4? Does the shift lever or cable actuator for the hi-lo shift move when it pops out of gear?
