Took one of the final drives apart on my 20 this afternoon.Have some leaks to fix. Upon taking out the countershaft I noticed that there were 2 felt washers stacked in the housing. I already had new ones from Rice Equip. Hadn't really looked at 'em much, just knew they were in a plastic bag on the bench. 1 new felt washer is about 3/4 the thickness of the 2 originals. There was also a rubber washer with each new felt that I guess must go on one side or other to make up the thickness,or as aditional seal?? Not sure exactly how they are meant to go.The felts go in dry?? Anybody got some input?? Maybe I should call down to Rice's and ask a few questions.
