Just the way we have done it for 20 years on our farm. The 1086 and 1256 have always got the straight 10W CaseIH oil since new on the 1086 and since we got the 1256. It gets cold here in the winter, highs are usually in the 20's, lows around 20 below zero. Dad never has run multi-weight oil in any of his stuff. I am considering 15W-40 for my H year-round though. Brother uses Rotella in his Cummins and loves it, just might have to try that. Steven
