McCormick W30?

Been lookin at a clean,running,repainted W30 on factory rubber for awhile now.Would like to know a lot more about this model before investing.Does anyone know of any webpages/sites w/W30 info.Hate to start buying expensive"red"books if I decide against buyin it.Believe this'n to be a 1936 even though it is red and owner adv it was also red before repaint.Crank start,was electric ever made?
Were/are road gear upgrades available?Are there any "special" problems/weaknesses to be looking for? Any help/info appreciated.
