John, it has a coil on the engine, so I figure it wouldn't be a magneto. I am an auto mechanic, these tractors are a little different than I am use to. I guess it may be possible that is was converted, I'm not sure. The numbers were stamped on the base of the distributor, on the side of the flange where the distributor connects to the engine. I appreciate the help, as I said, these tractors are a whole different world to me.
