85W140 isn't much different than SAE 90. It is still too thin. You need to find straight SAE 140. Look in the yellow pages under Oil distributors and start calling around. I have found one place around here that carries it but they are out of it right now so it can be hard to find. Keep trying you will be glad you did. Multi-weight gear lube seem to leak very easily-even more easily than motor oil. I changed to rearend oil in my truck one time, used a new gasket on it with gasket cement and it still leaked. I ended up having to put another new gasket on it and coating it with a light coat of silicone to get it to stop leaking.
